self-ownership

I finally got around to telling the team members on one of my senior projects that I’d never met my friends this past weekend in real life before. They finally told me about how curious they were of all these friends I had from all over the US who just happened to be interested in attending a conference I was going to.

So I told them about how I met everyone through an “online community” and that we all had “similar interests” (I’d prefer if they didn’t find my blog) and that we’ve been friends for about 1.5 years. So, we all decided to take advantage of a conference we were all interested in anyways and finally meet up in person.

I think they thought it was weird that I have online friends and that we just met each other irl this past weekend.

Sucks for them. You all kicked ass. Internet friends are great.
